Honouli Wai Bay
Though it has less sand than nearby Honouli Maloo, Honouli Wai Bay also provides some good swimming and snorkeling opportunities. Located along Hwy. 450 in eastern Molokai, this small sandy beach can be great for snorkeling when the water is calm.
Swimming, diving, and snorkeling when the water is calm. Windsurfing and kitesurfing for those with experience.
A mountain stream runs toward the sea through the nearby town of Maloo where many native Hawaiians still practice traditional ways of living including fishing and growing taro.
Need to Know
This beach is subject to hazardous ocean conditions during times of big waves, particularly during the winter months. Never go in the ocean during times of big surf or rough seas.
Honouli Wai Bay is located along Hwy. 450 on the way to Halawa Valley just past Murphy’s Beach and about one mile west of Honouli Maloo Beach and just a bit past Mile Marker 20.
