Located in Paia, this lovely beach is quite long with nice sand, clear blue water, and a calm lagoon area for babies to play. There are also plenty of shady and grassy areas for relaxing. The water at Baldwin is sometimes a bit murky due to nearby runoff. This popular local beach is often very busy on weekends.

Need to Know
Strong winds often blow in the afternoons, sometimes creating dangerous ocean conditions including currents and surges. The seafloor drops off relatively quickly, sometimes leading to strong shore break that can toss swimmers around. Always beware of ocean conditions and never go in the water during times of high surf and rough seas. Beginners should swim near the lifeguard stand.
